Structural Engineer by trade, and Intersectional Environmentalist & Activist for Cimate Justice in my heart!
I am working as the Climate Emergency Change Manager for our UK+ regions and as Sustainability Co-Lead for UK+ Structures and Ground for Buro Happold. These roles support each other in determining and delivering the systemic change needed to tackle the Climate Emergency at an industry level, organisational level, team level and an individual level.
As well as the technical aspects of tackling the Climate Emergency, I am interested in the wider issues around equity and unconscious bias in the built environment, as well as intersectional environmentalism.
My interest in equity in the built environment is growing and developing as a result of my participation in Urban C:Lab and seeing activism surrounding black lives, trans lives, queer lives, and disabled lives more and more in the mainstream. I am always interested in discussing and understanding more about biases in the built environment, so please don't hesitate to get in contact.
